Rust Medic Steel Shield™ is a liquid compound that inhibits rust on all ferrous metals 

Steel Shield will work with all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It has been tested on copper and brass and works very well with these metals.

Rust Medic Steel Shield™ is a liquid compound that inhibits rust on all ferrous metals yet is harmless to skin and environment. This water-based product is a significant advancement in anti-corrosion technology that replaces solvent and oil-based corrosion preventatives. Once applied, the clear protective coating will dry to touch within 30 minutes in ambient conditions.

As Steel Shield™ is a water-based product it is not suitable for outdoor use.

Steel Shield™ is non-corrosive, non-flammable, will protect for up to six months in undiluted form and is safe for all types of metal.

Steel Shield™ is biodegradable and has no foul odours or fumes.

Parts can be immersed in Steel Shield™ or Steel Shield™ can be applied by trigger spray, spray gun or by brushing on. Apply Steel Shield™ after items have been de-rusted with Rust Medic Rust Remover to protect bare surfaces from flash rusting.

Steel Shield™ is easily washed off with water.

Steel Shield will inhibit rust from forming on most metal for six months. Variables include smoothness of the metal, temperature, and humidity.

Yes, Steel Shield will work with all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It has been tested on copper and brass and works very well with these metals.

No, Steel Shield will not damage any polymers, plastics, or coatings, and can even be used on painted surfaces without damaging most paints.

Yes, Steel Shield is a water-based rust inhibitor designed for indoor use. If Steel Shield is exposed to water, the water will weaken and/or remove the protective coating. Therefore, items treated with Steel Shield must be kept away from direct contact with water.

Yes, most coatings bond with the metal. Therefore, Steel Shield should be removed before any other coatings are applied. We recommend that the Steel Shield be rinsed off with water and the parts dried prior to another coating.

No, Steel shield contains no hazardous compounds, so can be transported safely by any means.

I brought your Thermocure product for a flush on a Cosworth Capri before Christmas. I forgot to get back to you earlier with the awesome results. The inside of my alloy radiator is like new! Same with what I can see inside my thermostat housing. Even my heater system is working incredibly again. I didn't expect that as it has not worked for around 9 years. I couldn't believe how much black gunk came out even after numerous fresh flushes prior. I have filled the radiator with the Coolant you recommended and it has stayed beautiful and green over the last couple of months use. It used to go a rusted brown colour quickly. Thanks heaps for your help in making this happen. I'll be sure to recommend your products around the Capri club and use them in the future.

I ran the Thermocure flush chemical for 4 days, then flushed and refilled my cooling system with antifreeze. My tractor now runs cooler with the temperature needle sitting in the 11 o'clock position instead of the 1 o'clock position it was in before the flush. A great investment.
