A perfect Industrial set-up consists of a tank large enough to accommodate the maximum sized item you are going to repetitively de-rust. A gantry or fork truck with a load capacity to accommodate your heaviest item is essential.
Using the gantry, lift the larger items into place and immerse completely in Rust Medic rust remover.
Leave the Rusted Item soaking until the rust has been completely removed. In summer temperatures this pinion was de-rusted completely in 45mins.
Once the item has been completely de-rusted, remove from the tank and rinse with fresh water. Best results are obtained by water-blasting the de-rusted items as soon as they are removed from the tank.
Dry de-rusted items thoroughly using compressed air or something similar and coat with a preservative to prevent flash rusting. “Steel Shield” is perfect for sealing de-rusted items for indoor storage or transportation to end users. If items are to be left in a bare metal state and used outdoors, a petroleum or lanolin based preservative is highly recommended.
